Pioneers of the handpan present their winter tour «Wisdom in the Roots» 2025/26
Danny Cudd and Markus Offbeat (Offbeat Johansson) will perform again in Lisbon with their new program «Wisdom in the Roots». This is not an ordinary concert — it is a true sonic journey, where every handpan strike opens the door to another dimension. Hypnotic vibrations, soft rhythms, and atmospheric textures leave a lasting impression.
How it all began
Berlin, 2010. Two street musicians happen to play together — and magic is born. In 2011 they upload the track «Once Again» to YouTube. The video explodes online: over 100 million views. The world hears the handpan properly for the first time and falls in love with its sound instantly.
Since then, Hang Massive has become the main voice of an instrument that was invented in Switzerland just ten years earlier. They turned a niche metal «space drum» into a global phenomenon.
15 years of journey
From sidewalk improvisations to large festivals and concert halls. From pure acoustics to bold experiments with electronics, vocals, and live percussion. Hang Massive constantly evolves but always stays true to the main thing — the living, breathing sound of the handpan.

In the new tour, the duo develops the idea of «music as medicine». Tribal rhythms, deep handpan melodies, and electronic landscapes recorded in sacred places, such as the caves of Cappadocia (be sure to watch «Dharma Deep Dive», pure magic).
The handpan in Danny and Markus’s hands is a bridge between acoustics and electronics, East and West, calm and ecstasy.
